The B W Keep Jig can be used to cut in keeps/receivers quickly and neatly.

The B W Keep Jig is intended to be used with a plunge router with a suitable guide bush, and a long reach 12mm router cutter fitted, to rout the deep and shallow recess of the keep/receiver plate of a lock. The B W Keep Jig is placed on the frame/door lining at the given spindle height and then held in place with either size 4 screws or bradawls. End stop add-ons and bypass plates are put into place to make the first deep cut. Then remove the bypass plates and the end stop add-ons and cut the shallow cut.

To use the B W Keep Jig you will need

• A plunge router
• 12mm long reach cutter
• 16mm guide bush and a 4mm spacer

• 17mm guide bush and a 5mm spacer
• Hand Tools
